"Zeus" is a coming 5 year old, and is taking his place here at Castle Rock to become one of our senior appaloosa herd stallions. His first Castle Rock foal will be born this spring to our retired show mare, C Beauty Oil. Currently Zeus (registered AMHA, AMHR and FBR pending) holds titles as a AMHR Multiple Grand Champion Junior Stallion and Reserve Junior Champion Stallion. A beautiful boy, We may even consider sending him out as a senior stallion.

Zeus is a Falabella Blend from the Argentine Falabella's on the top side of his pedigree, and goes back to (Shadow Oaks) PEPPER, a most famous son of the CHIANTI. Zeus' pedigree includes 2x to CHIANTI, the "grandfather" of miniature appaloosas and Regina, also one of the original imported Falabellas from Argentina. Also on the top side, we found DOUBLE O SEVEN AND A HALF MOTO, National Grand Champion Senior Stallion. On the bottom side, Zeus' pedigree also includes 2x to STOUTS MISTER PRIDE, one of the FOUNDATION STALLIONS, and Little Joe.

Zeus is truly an "Arab-looker" in miniature, with the most beautiful refined head. We can't wait to see what this boy adds to our program.

Zeus' first foals have arrived in 2007 and they spotted in a variety of colors, even from solid mares. See above pictures.

We are getting closer to meeting our goal of breeding loud appaloosa miniatures that are competitive at the very top levels. Even non appaloosa people look at our appaloosas and can't help but loving them because they are balanced, refined, pretty headed and beautiful!!

Castle Rock Miniature Horse Farm is located in west-central Florida, about an hour from the Sarasota/Bradenton area or I-75.

Mare care is negotiable, but standard rates are $3 a day for mare or $5 a day mare + foal. It is suggested that you insure your mare during her time away from your farm.

We work with 2 vets, one an Equine Specialist, and both are on call 24/7, just a few miles from the farm.

We can pasture or hand breed your mare.

Mares must arrive with a clean culture, current coggins and health certificate and be up to date on all shots (including West Nile Virus) and dewormings.

Zeus will stand to only 1 outside mare in 2008 for $600.00 to benefit IMAPC. We may consider an additional offer for breeding--to be determined.

Mare will be ultrasounded in foal, with Vet certification of pregnancy at Mare owner's expense. If desired, a sexing ultrasound can be done on any fetus 90+ days -- however, mare care would apply during the waiting time.
